Fur Babe Foodie - Flower-Flounder Quinoa

Fur Babe Foodie - Flower-Flounder Quinoa

My Fur Babe recipes are for dogs only. Dogs are scavengers and a variety of foods can be safely fed to them to improve their diets. (Cats are carnivores and must eat primarily meats to remain healthy.)

I recommend that you clear my recipes with your vet before feeding them to your own Fur Babe, and that you always provide your pups with a varied diet. I make several different recipes for my Fur Babe every week, as well as supplementing his diet with a high quality dry dog food.

I have never made a recipe that North does not devour. I began feeding him homemade foodie meals at two months old. I will never share one with you that is not a hit in his book.

My Pulse

I started out earlier this week feeling through a lot of really strong resentful emotions.

These emotions were caused by show of support that I saw for our community coming from people who rarely ever do anything to actually support it, and conversely, actually do things that cause us harm more often than they would like to acknowledge.

Support is something that should never be turned down.

When someone reaches out a hand and offers sympathy, the good and right - the loving - thing to do, is to accept it without judgement.

But how can someone think, that by putting on rainbows and speaking words of unity, that they can erase or somehow supersede the damage that they have already done?

How can someone who votes my oppressors into government, suggest that they are my supporter?

This is why my heart is so heavy.

I know that on this day of remembrance, my goal is to reach out, to work harder, to give more love to the world. I don’t want to embrace resentment.

But where is the line drawn betwee…

Tuna Casserole Puppy Style

The choice of tuna in this recipe is very important. Some types of tuna are very high in heavy metals and should be avoided. I use a Kirkland brand of Skipjack Chunk Light Tuna that is free school caught and species specific.

40 Things I Have Learned Not To Trust

I am turning 40 this week. I am incredibly grateful to be here, and for all that I have learned in the past forty years of my life.

This is a list of forty things/people that I have learned NEVER to place my trust in. This does not mean that they must always be avoided, but approached with the wisdom of deep and abiding skepticism.

I have learned to always follow the money trail in any situation. I have learned to always look to who stands to gain, or what power stands to be leveraged.

We do not live in a simple world, or an easy one. Without mustering the bravery to swim against the stream in this society, I honestly do not believe that I would be living the life that I am today.

Dentists - Dentistry is one of the biggest scams in modern America.
Charities - Look into them carefully & go for local.
The Komen Foundation - First charity call-out. These guys are hard core greedy.
The HSUS - Second Charity call-out. LIARS and animal murders.
Scientific Studies - Who paid for it?

The Greatest Show On Earth

To be honest, I am not a particularly big fan of the circus. I have been to Ringling’s as a child. I don’t remember it really.

I believe that it was probably Dumbo in particular, that somehow soaked in early, and gave me negative feelings towards it.

I never took my kids when they were little, which in some ways I am sure that I will regret, but then again, it is just a short group of years that I could have taken them, and now it is going to be gone forever.

I tear up every time that I think of it.

Not because I have a love for the circus, but because I see this as the beginning of the end.

I have pleaded with people rather often, to think critically when they see all of the activist nonsense that has absolutely saturated the media in this day and age.

I beg friends and readers to look into stories that these groups share, to do research, to think about who has what to gain from spreading the endless lies.

My heart lies with zoos, not the circus, but I am desperately afraid that the zoo…
