Cheese Steak Tortilla Pizza

Cheese Steak Tortilla Pizza

Yum! This is a fun one. I love each and every ingredient. I can’t wait to eat it!

1 lb. thinly sliced eye round steak, cut into strips
1 medium green bell pepper, sliced
½ medium yellow onion, sliced
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp. olive oil
2 tbsp. tamari or soy sauce
2 tsp. lime juice
1 tsp. coriander
1 tsp. black pepper
2 tsp. Worcestershire
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. white wine
provolone or mozzarella cheese
small corn tortillas
canola oil

Put all of the ingredients aside from the cheese, tortillas, and canola in a large bowl and fold well until everything is coated in the marinade. Let the ingredients rest in the marinade for at least a couple of hours. Gently stir the mixture every fifteen minutes to ensure that everything is well coated.

Remove the peppers, onions, and steak from the marinade with a slotted spoon. Place them in a large pan and cook on medium-high heat for ten to fifteen minutes, stirring often.

In a small pan heat a drizzle of canola oil on medium heat. Put a small corn tortilla in the pan and put pieces of the cheese on top of it. When you see that the cheese is melted, remove it from the pan with a spatula and set it on a cutting board. Add a little more oil and repeat the process. While that tortilla is browning, top the one on the cutting board with a scoop of the steak mixture. When the cheese on the second tortilla has melted, remove it from the pan with a spatula and flip it over on top of the first tortilla on the cutting board, cheese side down. Cut the pizza into four sections with a large knife. Enjoy!

20 Things…you learn after moving to Florida.
1.There is a big difference between a roach and a palmetto bug. Real roaches are the guys from New York. They infest, they are spooky smart, they are dirty and nasty, and you have to work really hard to get rid of them. Palmetto bugs however, are big and creepy and dumb. You usually see them outside at night and they will fly right at your face. They don’t infest because they are native and they can’t survive in our AC temps. 2.Every public indoor place will always be frigid. Most of your friend’s houses will be as well. I take a sweater with me almost everywhere that I go, and if I forget to I regret it. 3.Outside of weather emergencies, weathermen are superfluous. In the rainy season, which is most of the time, there is an eighty percent chance of rain, every single day. The weather man has no idea what time it will rain, how hard, or for how long, and there is no way for him to predict it. You just have to go out there with your fingers cr…
